King of Swing is a pledge-based fundraising competition held during our Drive Out Domestic Violence Golf Outing. Participating golfers collect donations in support of their swing by rallying friends, family, and colleagues to give to a cause that saves lives.

The golfer who raises the most funds will be crowned the King of Swing and receive special recognition during the outing.

Every dollar raised helps A Safe Place provide emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and other vital services for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.

About Us

A Safe Place is the sole provider of services exclusively addressing domestic violence in Lake County, Illinois. However, clients come from all over the Chicagoland area including Cook County, McHenry County and Kenosha County in Wisconsin. Through multi-faceted programs, we assist victims in transforming their lives after domestic violence, prevent future abuse by addressing its root cause through abuser intervention programs, and educate students and the community about domestic violence and how we can all be involved in its end.
