17 years after we began hosting this golf outing, with the help of numerous passionate committee members and staff, it has grown from raising just a few thousand dollars to raising over $70,000 last year. Last year was also an important milestone in the history of our golf outing because it was our pleasure to move the outing from a public course to the beautiful, private, and more exclusive Briarwood Country Club in Deerfield. Briarwood offers a higher quality of golf, dining, and atmosphere so that we can deliver a more rewarding and memorable day for the partners, supporters, and friends who join us to support A Safe Place.
Over the years, we have been extremely fortunate to have the unwavering support of many individuals, small businesses, and corporations throughout the Chicagoland area who have helped A Safe Place serve and impact over 15,000 men, women, and children each year. Your kindness and generosity stand as a silent strength behind the victims who are suffering, often hopeless and alone. It is because of you that lives are saved. On behalf of the event committee, A Safe Place staff, and especially survivors of domestic violence, thank you so much for your consideration.
