Each year, the Gala supports the efforts of A Safe Place, which is the only comprehensive nonprofit agency solely focused on programs and services for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking and their children in Lake County, IL.

Domestic violence and human trafficking did not stop during the rise of COVID-19, and A Safe Place saw an over 600% increase in crisis calls and more than tripled the number of individuals seeking emergency shelter.

In 2021, we served over 32,000 individuals through our comprehensive services, serving both adults and children, who come to us uncertainty and fear. With your support, we are able to provide our clients the tools needed to find their voices and path towards their new journey.
