Wine Women & Shoes is a fabulous evening of fashion, philanthropy, and fun—all in support of A Safe Place’s mission to end domestic violence and human trafficking. Guests will enjoy a powerful Survivor Fashion Show, an inspiring highlight featuring survivors walking the runway in strength and confidence. The event also features a Wall of Wine, delicious hors d’oeuvres, wine tastings, luxury shopping, and the exciting Keys to the Closet drawing, where one lucky winner takes home a collection of high-end items. Guests can bid on incredible packages in the silent auction while mingling, then experience the high-energy live auction featuring exclusive experiences, designer fashion, and more. With photo ops, charming Shoe Guys, and so much more, Wine Women & Shoes is an unforgettable celebration of empowerment and generosity!

A Safe Place is the only organization in Lake County, Illinois dedicated solely to supporting victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. Through comprehensive programs, we help survivors rebuild their lives, prevent future abuse through targeted abuser intervention, and educate the community on how we can all play a role in ending domestic violence and human trafficking.

Our goal is to foster a community-wide response to domestic violence and human trafficking by educating others on their causes and how to effectively address them. By breaking the cycle of abuse, we can create safer, healthier communities for all. All services are offered free of charge to survivors.

About myself:

Depending on the situation, I can be quiet and keep to myself or very outgoing where you never know what I will say or do next. My wife and I have been a big supporter of A Safe Place for many years now.

This is my third year of being a shoe guy.  I won "King of Sole" my first year by being the Shoe Guy who raised the most money. I hope to do it again this year with your help.

Why I support A Safe Place:
My wife, who was affected by domestic violence in the past, is an amazing woman who I love with all of my heart. While she was able to escape from that relationship on her own, not all people are. I have seen what A Safe Place offers and got to know a few of the people who are being helped. The organization truly has a positive impact on peoples lives.
