Please help give to a great cause!! Your support is greatly appreciated and needed. You can make a difference in someones life by giving. Remember none of this possible without your support.

A Safe Place is the only organization in Lake County, Illinois dedicated solely to supporting victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. Through comprehensive programs, we help survivors rebuild their lives, prevent future abuse through targeted abuser intervention, and educate the community on how we can all play a role in ending domestic violence and human trafficking.

Our goal is to foster a community-wide response to domestic violence and human trafficking by educating others on their causes and how to effectively address them. By breaking the cycle of abuse, we can create safer, healthier communities for all. All services are offered free of charge to survivors.

Wine Women & Shoes is a fabulous evening of fashion, philanthropy, and fun—all in support of A Safe Place’s mission to end domestic violence and human trafficking. Guests will enjoy a powerful Survivor Fashion Show, an inspiring highlight featuring survivors walking the runway in strength and confidence. The event also features a Wall of Wine, delicious hors d’oeuvres, wine tastings, luxury shopping, and the exciting Keys to the Closet drawing, where one lucky winner takes home a collection of high-end items. Guests can bid on incredible packages in the silent auction while mingling, then experience the high-energy live auction featuring exclusive experiences, designer fashion, and more. With photo ops, charming Shoe Guys, and so much more, Wine Women & Shoes is an unforgettable celebration of empowerment and generosity!
